In this Case Study, you will learn how we developed a custom cable solution for a customer that works with leading robotics companies.
The Challenges and Objectives
An automation consulting firm that works with the world’s leading robotics companies contacted BizLink for a hybrid cable solution. The customer needed a hybrid cable installed in a multi-axis manipulator operating in a high-vacuum 1E-6 Torr environment. The cable must have high outgassing capability and tubes for fluids and ethernet. The robot will work in a cold chamber with a temperature range of -40C to 80C. Approximately 1 million flex cycles will be required.
Assessment/Evaluation
We presented two custom-made cables to the customer, both in HPF style. HPF cables have been specially designed for custom automation and industrial robotic applications. The wires include unique, high-performing copper plating to guarantee excellent data transmission in wet or humid environments that, often occur in cold rooms.
Solutions/Benefits
The customer liked our proposal and will explore further how the cable can be included in their multi-axis manipulator.
Outcome/Result
BizLink spares no effort to create high-performance cables for challenging applications. Our innovative cable solutions are made to work in the harshest environments and extreme temperatures.
Optimize your Cable Design Project
When developing a new project, we highly recommend that you review the cable and cable assembly simultaneously. Our engineering team will review the overall design and suggest the best solution.
